From this: to this:
We are leaving tomorrow already. This has been quite an experience. We have developed relationships with people living in extreme poverty and now, we are in a gorgeous resort where the few wealthy Salvadorans come to play. This is my first time in a third world country and there is much to process. While all the people we have met in this country have shown great friendliness to us, I haven't seen a lot of joy or heard much laughter. They seem to be a pretty serious lot.

The lack of joy or laughter sure sounds different from Africa. But not so different from India.

Interesting experience. Rob and I hope to someday do volunteering like this too.
But maybe we should follow in the anniversary traveling footsteps and go for the Tuscany bike trip holiday first :)) then we'll move on to the more 'serious' vacations. Tee hee hee!
