The Forks
Went skating last night on the longest skating trail in the world. We met 2 groups of people that we know and stopped at the 4 km mark for hot apple cider. A great way to spend a few hours on a late Sunday afternoon. I think that next weekend we'll try to do the whole trail from Omands Creek to the Forks and then back again.

Winnipeg-One Great City
This weekend I plan to lace up my skates and spend some time on the longest skating rink in the world. Be sure to watch the video.
Kudos to Kathryn Keyes for her comments:
"We think it's great and we think there's room for two records in Canada," said Kathryn Keyes, spokeswoman with the National Capital Commission. "We would be happy to see Winnipeg crowned as the world's longest."
Here's hoping for colder weather in Ottawa!
